1616 / Arita Japan's Manz Hōjicha tea cup is where Danish minimalism meets Japanese craftsmanship. The teacup's timeless silhouette is based on original sketches by ceramicist Richard Manz and was brought to life by his daughter, designer Cecilie Manz, in collaboration with 1616 / arita japan. Originally known as the "apple cup", the design takes cues from traditional Arita ware, with early versions hand-decorated by ceramic artist Bodil Manz. Each ceramic cup is crafted in Arita, Japan’s historic porcelain capital, with deep respect for ancient ceramic traditions
