A series of three plates, three bowls and a cup, immediately recognizable for its characteristic pin stripe relief with baked nuances around the rim or on the sides, which results from underlying red earthen clay and the "kohiki" technique, a traditional Japanese technique where the clay is covered with a layer of white powder-clay before transparent glazing. It results in a unique grayish white in soft hue. "Grise" in French means gray, by the way. The mix and merge bring depth to the classic design and makes each piece unique along with rustic iron in power. [17 round plate] is very good as a plate to share and also as a dessert or cake plate.
